Another thing I noticed is that the new leaves have a bronze sheen to them and appear very details...you can really see the veins and ridges...but as they grow out they turn a normal smooth green leaf. I've also seen many leaves where the tops parts of the heart shape overlap each other or come very close.

Here's a photo from earlier this year - you can see the difference in color on the new leaves.
