I leave my plastic on year around. This year it will come off & put new on. I think this has been on at least 7 years.
I have 2 - 32" fans to ventilate the house. I lost 2 clusters of fruit because of heat, but we had a hotter than normal July-August. When its 98º outside it's probably to hot to pollinate.
A friend that raises hydroponic tomatoes, cools his with a water evaperator on one end of the house. It looks like a big radiator with cold water running through it. All incoming air has to go through it. Does a good job.
