Watching tha news, seeing things I aint never done seen before.
Like others here I have friends and relatives in Houston, up and down tha coast.

I am enclosing a pic, collage taken about 11:30 this date.
Heard so much about running out of water and gas. I pulled a hose out front and painted a sign saying free water.

Many have taken us up on that, to drink.
I have seen little boys and girls striped and washed.
Grown people wetting their heads and upper bodies.
Radiators filled. Found a shade tree for one group to replace a water pump.

I noticed several stopping last night, jus getting off tha highway for a while.
Same thing today. many have small children, some jus average folks.

One young man told me how long he had been driving. Commented he had never drove over 5 hours in his life.

My pic shows the traffic here, 60 odd miles out from Houston.
I understand I-45 has traffic backed up 100 miles. Ouch!
_____________

Hey QueenB that lives down tha road from me!
I'm one mile north of the Shell Station on tha East side. Traffic isn't so good here.
It'll shoot up for a few minutes and back to woah.

[edit here]
The eye was going to pass over us, still is but it has drifted a little east & with a little luck may drift more toward Beaumont. Be nice ta get out of that eye & tha dirty side.
Reta is 85 miles accross so theres no way it can miss much
