TexasPuddyPrint wrote: Howdy all, Sorry I haven't kept up with this post. I found five caterpillars on my duranta bush and was trying to get an identification of them. Have been busy with emails from local NABA reps, entomologists and scientists - by the way, they are a new US record!!! A "rekoa" hairstreak :o) Okay, back to the hummingbird feeders made out of insulin bottles. The company is called mainstreetseedandsupply - you can easily find it by doing a google search using the search words...mainstreet perky pet replacement feeder parts. They are small yellow flower looking stoppers...come 9 to a package. As for the test tubes...I used some plastic end caps and melted (drilled) a hole in the bottom of each. I have had nothing but bad luck with the rubber stoppers that have a glass pipette inserted into them...they have continually leaked and the rubber stopper worked it's way out of the soda bottles I tried using. UGH!!! Gave up on those and stuck to the insulin bottles and test tubes :o) Hope that helps!!! Email if ya'll have any questions about them. Here's a photo of another one I made using some cloisonne beads and blue glass butterflies :o) ~ Cat |
