Wow ! Daisy and DF, choc chips and cinnamon rolls for breakfast. How much better could it get ?
DF, hope MIL is going to be OK. A 'second opinion' is always helpful.
M5, the 75K for the kids house sounds amazing. Couldn't find anything around here for near that price. Bet it sells quickly.

Sarv, it's rainy and cool here too, just when I have to be outside removing windows. Should clear up later. The chili does sound good. You can't beat handmade chili and a good hunk of cornbread, with some cheese and onions and avocado on the side. Re: pepper taste. yes, you can taste the pepper, and there is a slight nip to them but not enough that you can say they are 'hot'. The lemon glaze offsets it to some extent.

Marsha, what a great post. Don't envy the move, but it does tend to make one question the need for so much of the "stuff" we accumulate. After 30 years in our home, and with my penchant for saving useless 'stuff' and collecting, moving to anywhere but a landfill site would be catastrophic. The bedbugs sound awful. Hope she gets rid of them.

DW left @ 6:00 for the border. The Canadian/US border up at Peace Arch Park is to be closed from 7:00 for several hours to do some kind of work, shifting traffic to an adjacent lane. They need to catch the Tsawassen Ferry at 10:00 so it's going to be a close call. This gives me four days to get the last four windows installed and clean up any messy work sites. I love these 'alone' times. My mantra is "it's easier to beg forgiveness than to ask permission". So what mischief can I get into while she's gone??? Have to remove shingles, shorten each window opening by 14 inches and re-side the exterior, guess that will be mischief enough.
