I've been a plant and flower lover since I was a small child. Used to plant petunias with Grandma. I'm 51 and still a rebel. I fake maturity every day by putting on my professional face where I spend way too much time (all day and sometimes all night) keeping computers and software up and running.

I've been growing the hoya for about 4 years now having been bitten by the H. compacta I picked up on a whim. Didn't even know it was a hoya until it bloomed and I looked it up online to figure out what it was. Since then the collection has grown to 100+ plants.

I am really pleased to see all the new hoya lovers posting and introducing themselves. Thanks to the ladies in Sweden for joining in on the conversation too. After 4 years at this I am still a complete novice. Mind you, I do have some luck getting them to bloom but it's more my climate than my knowledge or talent.
