Whew, Molly's safe, if unpowered. Hope the remainder of this storm doesn't do more damage. We bought a generator when we built our here in the sticks, and haven't had to use it. We did have a bad power surge one time that devoured my hard drive, now I run around and turn everything off when I hear thunder.

"turn the water off first," Robert, do you think you are dealing with a buncha blondes here? LOL Just kidding. I'm known for not turning the sink spray thingy off and getting a big shot of water all over the kitchen the next time the faucet is turned on . The cats run like lightening when I approach the sink. Incidentally, you must be linked to my DH who thinks the world can be repaired with plywood and duct tape.

Out for breakfast this morning, wheee!! no clean up again! Going to a craft/art fair with DIL later with no intention of spending any money. Unless I see something I can't live without. They spotted a house they are interested in, so we are trying to figure out a way to help them without ending up out-of-pocket on it. We might do a joint purchase, and then when DS sells his and repays us, we will do a quit claim on our part. Maybe . First I want him to deal with his bank, and see about a bridge loan. And get his house ready to sell. We want to help but want to see some effort on his part first.

Dcat, now see here... I brought your requested breakfast the other morning, tapped on the door, stood there holding french toast with strawberries and whipped cream, and all I could hear was snoring. We had to hit the road, so I left it by the door. Someone must have come along and snatched it up. This confirms the saying " You snooze, you lose."!!!

Sarv, those old stand mixers work forever, and do the job as well as a new one. In fact, they may last longer than the newer models. I don't know how many hand mixers I've replaced over the years, but my first one, a Sunbeam lasted for about 30. It's successors have not done as well. You can still get replacement whips and etc for them, so if the old beaters and such are bent or in bad shape, you can replace them.

Took the little Maverick out for a spin around the block and up the road. The far away neighbor , kitty corner from us,who has 5 or 6 horses, hasn't noticed that four of them have decided to venture out of the pasture and are playing in the road and their front yard. They are very obviously having a great time running in circles and discussing the adventure among themselves, lots of whinnies and snorts while they are tango-ing all over the flower beds and lawn. If they weren't so big I would have tried to get them back through the gate, but these are huge and they don't know me, except for the occasional carrot over the fence.

My sis and I have been grooming each other for years, from squeezing blackheads, giving home perms, to makeup experimentation, eye brow plucking in our teens. Later it was waxing, manicures, facials or whatever we could think of. We still do it when we visit, but we pay other people for it! Our mutual agreement when visiting is the visitor does NOTHING, no helping with food, clean up zip, nada, zilch.....which makes it like a luxury hotel vacation!! Her DH looked at us one time and said we must have been monkeys in a previous life because we were always grooming each other . We, on the other hand, assume his previous life was spent as the back end of a horse.

Gotta go move the sprinkler. And do something with that huge pile of chard I picked. Still no tomatoes, but we are feasting happily on the ones from our friend.

Hope all the ailing or blue are much improved, with no disasters looming on the horizon.

Here's the Maverick. LOL Ahh well, he could be sitting in a bar, or in front of a slot machine............! This is pretty harmless as far as addictions go....and keeps him happy. The truck on the left is the one DGS is working on.
