I've been trying to see if I can notice the difference. Only thing so far is my last years blooms of
'Heian No Kaori' didn't have the Mauve-Pink color streaking out of the throat as the 'Tanchou' did.
However, my 'HNK' from this year DO have the streaking.

The color of mine does not have the Blue as you have described. I describe mine as 'Pale Lilac-Purple, with Purple Star and Fuchsia Halo at Throat'. And, mine also 'Glitters'. Actually looks like Satin.
Here is one of my blooms
