Thank heaven for two cool days in a row! And good news from Darius about her test, hope things stay on an even keel from now on. Stress can wreak havoc with your body, and the signs aren't always obvious.

Didn't do much yesterday, gave my poor feet a chance to recover from all that fair indulgence....! Trying to reduce my "road" time because it cost me over $30 to fill up my tank the other day, and it wasn't even on empty. I think the consumers are being manipulated, ALL our oil does not come from the middle east.

Sarv, Home Depot has big stick on "decals" that are very nice, for temporary relief from stained glass lust....Our neighbors keep their garage lights on all night, and it shines right into our bedroom, so I found a pattern I liked at HD, and trimmed it to fit the windows. It hasn't shrunk or peeled (you stick it on with just water) but if it does, it will be easy enough to replace. DIL does stained glass, and I'm hinting gently that it would be a nice gift...............! This was one sheet that I cut, so the full sheet is probably 24 X 30 because there was some left over.

Maria, speaking of good manners, I don't think any of my 5 grands except for the middle one can remember to say thank you until prodded or poked. I stop giving BD gifts when they get to 18, but when my second oldest was 16, I wrote him a check for his birthday and in the memo portion I printed "cashing this is not a thank you" and he still didn't call! So I called him and asked him how he enjoyed his last birthday check...he said "Last?" and I said, yes, because if I don't hear a thank you I assume it got lost and I don't want to send checks that get lost. I blame his parents. There's no excuse for not picking up the phone,or even sending an email.

Speaking of middle GS, in January he dropped over and while chatting he mentioned his birthday, and said "what are you going to get me?" I turned to him and said, "Alex, I'm going to get you exactly what you got me for mine!!" He blushed, and said, "Oops".
I must be the meanest gramma this side of the Mississippi. LOL

Dcat, I'm laughing about your dirt delivery requirements!! When DH plans a road trip or is going to some business thing I usually try to plan a dinner out with a friend, or something to entertain myself...and then he changes plans!! I think they do it to keep us on our toes!

I'm helping myself to some of that yummy apple cinnamon raisin bread, toasted, with butter and then I'm hitting the shower so I can go out and drag the sprinkler around the yard....again! Lawn service left a note yesterday noting that our grass is "heat stressed". Duhhhhh!!
