Visitor finally left (again) yesterday around noon, DH and I went to a company "do" which was a dinner cruise around the harbor. There was an air show going on, so we had a nice view of the planes. The food was so-so but there was a nice apple strudel for dessert. Stopped on the way home to feed DS's fur family and water their flowers, and hoped that when we got here we would only see our own vehicles in the drive!!

No major chores planned for today. Tidy up the guest room, maybe tackle that little table the tv is on, and see if I can make it look like it came from the same family as the hutch.

Peeked out the front door to see if it had cooled off overnight (not) and see that the purple phlox is blooming next to some Rudbeckia that I thought I had dug out completely! Some of the perennial grasses are coming back in the combat zone, but I don't see any horsetail....yet. DH plans to cover the whole area with newspapers, then black plastic, then wood chips but hasn't gotten to it yet, what with the time he spent trying to get his brother's car to run. Funny, his vehicles always run well enough to get here.....! They replaced the transmission! (Picture me rollling my eyes.)

Weatherman said Maybe a Tstorm today, and tomorrow. . . . sure. believe it when I see it.
