However, PoppySue, who kindly sent me daylily seeds last winter, says she has tried this method, and it did not work any better for her than what she usually does, which is to soak them in water (or peroxide water, 1Tbsp. 3% Hydrogen Peroxide per quart of water) until they plump, then put them in moist potting soil. I sowed her seeds in a 48 cell flat and ended up with over 3 dozen little seedlings to plant out.

My baby daylilies are doing well, too! They've stopped looking quite so much like sprigs of grass, making it "safer" to weed the new daff & daylily bed...
