Had a late tee time this morning so we got the mid day heat and now I need a third shower....Spent the early morning shoving furniture around, since I spotted a bargain kitchen hutch yesterday at my favorite overstocked stuff store. Had to move the maple piece (which wasn't really a kitchen hutch but more like a secretary) into the guest room which meant rearranging the guest room, and taking out a book case, moving the bed, etc etc. so I got all sweaty after the first shower.. took another, golfed, sweated some more, so I'm ready for the third! I think someone has put a curse on me. Mike went back to work yesterday and my "guest" left. Presumably for home. Mike planned to take his truck in for diagnostics today, so he was going to meet a coworker at the auto shop, and ride in to work with him. Just as he was pulling out of the driveway, guess who shows up!!! Yup, the BIL. I swear, he's like gum on your shoe. Said he was having transmission trouble, Mike said, "sorry, gotta go to work", handed him the yellow pages, and left. By the time I was out of the shower and dressed, his car was gone so now I have no idea where he is, or if he is coming back or what. Already stripped the bedding so I hope he isn't planning another night here. Aren't there New York apartments where the tub is in the kitchen, and a board flips down over it when it's not in use??? LOL I wouldn't mind one, as long as I was the one who got to be in it, and pass out instructions, "cook that", etc. The jello sounds interesting too, but I'm afraid I'd ask for cream to put on it and eat my way out of the tub. I love jello but now I get it in those premade containers at the market because I never think of making it until it's too late for it to set. Had a lovely lunch, coconut shrimp over a fruit salad with oriental sesame dressing. Yummy. Here's the hutch, what do you think? It's certainly not a fine piece of furniture, but I liked the tile effect and the bleached color. Thinking if I can squeeze the tv/vcr into the lower space, and.... hmmm ......more lifting.....better wait on the third shower.... |
