Well we had a terriable storm over the weekend, rain bands off the latest Hurricane, probably spawned tornado like activity I guess. We had 60 mile an hour winds and heavy rain. The wind took out a huge Sycamore in the back yard as well as several of my Morning Glorys and brugs along with it. My FujiShibouri Wisteria Tye Dye, Robe, Mt Fuji Purple and Emmas Plum Frost are all history, crushed under the tree. It also broke our well and put a huge gaping hole in my neighbors garage roof. They were not home and thank goodness no one was hurt.
I think I will get a few seeds but thats about all I can expect. My hubby was going to move them for me and we had other things come up and didn't get to it Saturday. Sunday evening the storm struck.
This tree was maybe 50 tall and was about 6 to 7 ft at the base. So it was a bigun. And I am still wondering why in the world couldnt that thing have fell in the river. It would have just about all been gone if it had....................Arggguuuu
