Hello everyone,

It took a little longer than I thought, but I finally have a Giant Swallowtail chrysalis!

A couple of my big cats have really been looking sick for a couple of days, and I still am not sure if they will make it. Then, when my first big cat began to pupate, all it did was to form a sort of shriveled up J-shape. I thought it hadn't been able to successfully pupate. So, I began to think that maybe my little orange tree had been sprayed with chemicals at the nursery (I'm still not sure if it has or not). The first cat to pupate just stayed in the J-shape for about 24 hours. I was working on installing the door to my cage/screen box when I noticed that it moved. I thought that was a good sign, but still didn't think it would form a normal chrysalis. But to my surprise, the next time I passed the cage a few hours later, it was a normal chrysalis!

Here is a pic of the chrysalis.
