We will fill it with decomposed granite and then lay pavers he is making himself. In fact, you can see 2 of them in the picture. After adding all the costs of the materials, it won't be much cheaper than buying pavers pre-made, but he just loved making his own forms and designing the shape that I don't have the heart to tell him. But making 3 pavers at a time means we won't have the patio done as quickly as I'd like. Oh well, as long as he is enjoying himself... and they do look really cool to me! :)
