My old friend who always gave me rhubarb, died last summer at age 94. They still haven't sold his house so his daughter told me to get all I wanted. I dug up a few plants to put in our garden, but doubt if they do anything because they're so old. His father had planted them. His daughter said he'd be so pleased to know I was getting his rhubarb. I hope so.

I went to the nursery yesterday and got a few flowers to be potted up. Normally I buy them at the farmers market. I can't believe that the few I got came to 38.00. They're nice plants though. Half of them are herbs.
