I quickly spied a new visitor in my yard the other day. I thought it was a Monarch, which would be strange since I don't normally see them until the end of the season. I took a pic as close as I could get, then it flew off. Then when I looked at the picture I noticed the black line across the bottom of it's wings, which makes it a Viceroy. :) It was cloudy and the flash made the pic too light, and no chance to take another. Hopefully it will come back, but not sure how long it will survive by the looks of it's wing.
