I think it gets some Miracle Grow a couple of times during the summer when I fertilize my other plants, but from what I understand, this plant can grow in rock gardens and make do with very little fertilizer and little water. It is blooming now and will continue to bloom through fall. It does attract hummingbirds, but I have a hummingbird feeder, red salvia, and red cannas, and I think they like those things better.
