Anyway, I just looked up your wisteria in Peter Valdar's book. It seems yours is not a true Wisteria species. It is from southern China and Taiwan and is usually used as a potted plant there. The flowers point up it seems and are small so you will not get the thrill of hanging long racemes. No fragrance either.

So Jamie, you still will need a true Wisteria to have a soul filled spring! LOL
