Lavendar, Iris (when they are blooming and some color you could add with plants from your Zone. There are grasses here on all sides (Yes, Garden Wife!). This garden is next to my sidewalk in the front of my house and one of the best things about it is that neighbors very often stop and ask what things are or talk about the garden.
