Equilibrium wrote: Ewww goosebumps for what Judy wrote! You are wise to watch your beautiful cat MsMaati. The animal shelters in my area will not even adopt out a cat that is black or a dog that is black in the month of October until the second week of November as they are used by certain cults for Satanical rituals. The last home we lived in had been owned by a surgeon and his wife who had been a pediatrician. They both died peacefully, a few years apart, in their home of old age. We had a few unexplainable things happen but nothing spine chilling. When we got our first baby, we had been using a digital ear themometer. The temperature never seemed to register properly and we later learned these types of thermometers should not be used on children under the age of 2 because their eustachian tubes are not fully formed and the reading will be inaccurate. The baby was sick and our pediatrician asked us what type of a temp he was running. I told our pediatrician our thermometer wasn't working and that we would buy a new one and call back. I sent my husband out to get one and when he went to pick up his keys on the counter, there was an old thermometer in a pink celluloid case on the counter top that looked like something from the 40's or 50's. It worked. We had bought all blue for the baby because he was a boy, we had nothing pink and have no idea where that thermometer came from. Our child developed breathing problems and the baby powder repeatedly ended up in the garbage can yet neither my husband or I was throwing it out. Later learned Johnon's powder is a big no no for kids with respiratory distress. We did not have cleaning ladies in our home at that time. And then there was the door to the baby's room that was being opened every time I put a vaporizer in there although I was making sure to latch it properly by waiting to hear the little click when I shut it. Turns out the condensation was building up in there and the humidity was so high a black mold/mildew was forming behind a dresser. This is not good and I didn't know about it. Found it and bleached it down but that could have really created an unhealthy condition. The door then remained closed the next time I used a vaporizer. Like I said, nothing spine chilling but we never did figure out how these things, or a few others, happened. The few people we shared this with believed it was the ghost of one of the former MD owners. I don't know what to believe. I don't believe in ghosts but then again I don't disbelieve in ghosts and the thermometer appearing out of nowhere sure did come in handy. Here's a photo of one of my "ghost" ferns taken last month- |
