VS,
When the evening temps drop below 55 I drag all my tropicals in to my living room in a south facing window. They bloom all winter long and sometimes do better there than out side in the summer.

The high winds we have here on the lake, the bugs that attack them, as well as threat of hail keeps me jumping.

I am definitely addicted to go through the work of taking care of them inside all winter. This year I put down black plastic under all of them so I can take a squirt bottle and mist them every day. Madness, indeed!

But there is nothing more beautiful than a hibiscus bloom when there is snow on the ground in the dead of winter.

PS I do have a house in Southern Ca which I am planning to fill with hibiscus.
