This is the first year for Casa Blanca. I have a group of about seven that just bloomed for their third season, and have a couple of others even longer, but they didn't do well this year. Some of my gardens got botrytis(?) really bad.

I mulched with leaves and garden debris, and they got losts of snow cover last year although it came late. They are not planted particularly deep. I think if they are too deep, they would be too slow coming up and getting going for me. They are so gorgeous I'm willing to take a chance on losing them.
