Brought home this little dress my mother knitted. When she made it and gave it to me, she said it\'s for your first great granddaughter when you get one. Then she made and gave me another one. I made little silk slips for them. She was trying to make a third when she passed. Sometimes she would just sit and hold the yarn and needles. Others she would unravel and start over because there was a mistake. Then she forgot how to cast on so I would do it for her and she might make an inch or so and then rip out again. By the end the pink yarn was just a grey tangled mess which I discarded.
