I started sewing at age 8 and by then my mother had gotten a newer singer. This one just sat covered with a table cloth over it and a plant sitting on it until my mother passed. Basically we just never saw it so out of sight out of mind. It\'s in near perfect shape, just needs a belt. It even has a key that locks the machine cover and all the drawers. I have never seen a key for one before
