Good Monday morning everyone. Spent 3 hours yesterday on the computer , DG and other sites, and have finally decided on a design for my new pond for Spring! Hubby and I sat down and made a plan and as soon as I can find a new or foster home for my 4 goldfish, we'll start the project. It involves lots of big rocks and waterfalls. I will have to winter my lilies, but I'm going to use Lilypons method, so they should be OK. Don't really want to winter my fish; I think I 'll just get a few more next spring. (Less work) I guess I can't winter my reeds...can I? Anyway, I'm excited to finally have that figured out. Saw photos of your pond in the Water Garden Forum, ggd. Very nice!

Anyway, on to my original subject, Fruit Trees. As I mentioned before, I am a transpalnted Prairie Girl from Alberta, so don't know much about these critters. If you recall, I have a Plum, Mackintosh apple, Delicious apple, Bing Cherry tree, Pear tree and one mystery tree (no fruit this summer) in my front yard. Do I have to do anything special for these trees this fall to get ready for winter and spring? Prune or anything? I'd sure appreciate any advice from experienced Canadian Fruit tree growers. Thanks.
