Your picture inspired me to transplant this moss covered log from along side my firewood trail down by the creek to the Japanese garden. Today when my poor wife came home from work littke did she know that she was going to be part of the transplant crew. She was my other set of muscles and driver of the ATV while I balnced it on the back. She almost lost me and the log at the first narrow part of the trail but after that all went well. Not everyone has to water their log. It came from a very shady area where everything us covered in moss. There is a fair bit of shade in the Japanese garden but I think it may take a bit of watering in dry times like we are having right now
