Pat, just bring a semi to Nevada. There are boulders here every size or color you would want. Some areas you cannot remove but some areas you can take all you want. But you could probably find some closer by.

Betty to dead head a geranium, you follow the bloom stem down to the branch it came off of. You just cut or break it there. I break it but maybe you should cut until you get used to it because the main branches break very easy. After a bloom and deadheading I feed mine. Some of mine are enormous because they live through the winter here. They get spindly but I cut them back and feed and when the warmth hits, they take off.

Karen, I am so pleased your tests are showing such positive results. That is truly a blessing. Your family will be so pleased.

Linda, we are 20 degrees below normal. Our high today was in the mid 60s. Rain in the valley and snow in the mountains. But at least the wind is gone.

I have many succulents I need to cut back and propagate. I can do that in the house as long as I lay down a large sheet of plastic for everything to fall on. Easier said than done with 2 dogs and 2 cats.

If Linda is like me, when it is hot, you just follow the shade around the house. And you plan your landscape with trees to shade your home and landscape. My neighbors pine trees give me a lot of debris to deal with but they also give me beautiful shade. I couldn\'t grow plumerias here if I didn\'t have all the shade from the greenbelt, neighbor\'s and my trees. But that is why I have so many plants in pots because the tree roots just take over the soil and strangle any other plant trying to grow in it.

Betty, tropical plants are OK and plumerias are starting but slow. Just about everything is over a month behind. My tomatoes are loving this weather but looks like I will not get any oranges.

I have to start Vern some dinner. Nurse came yesterday and she was wearing a white medical overcoat. He went sideways into a full blow panic. I believe he thought she was with an ambulance. She walked away and I got him calmed down. Then I had to sit by him all the time she was in the room. She ordered and I now get a CNA 4 times a week. Before it was once a week. That helps the caregiver I pay because it is getting more difficult to get him out of bed and into the shower. He loves his shower and I do not want to stop that until we have to do so.

Susan, so pleased the home nightmare is behind you and you two are having such a wonderful time in your new area.

I will return. Hugs, Sharon Picture is Peanut sitting under an umbrella placed over a concrete pot. If it rains, the drain off of the roof fills the pot and it is heavy to tilt to drain. It was suppose to rain today but nothing.
