Beginner Gardening: Leggy Bush Bean - Start Over?, 1 by Elicea

I have never grown these before but the stems don\'t look like the type that you can bury much deeper like you can with tomatoes. From base to the bean that is still on the stem, it measures about 5 1/2 inches. I\'m worried they would rot. But can I? Or should I just start over?

Also, I dont know why the system keeps rotating my image to the side... sorry about that..
