There are a few of ways to accomplish this offering various amounts of filtering.

1) On the PlantFiles main page under the Plant Search box it says "More Options". If you click on that link it allows you to do some basic filtering by height, sun, zone, etc.

2) Scroll down beyond "Popular Plants" to "Popular Categories". On the right is a dropdown menu that says "More Categories". Click on that to bring up a whole list, including Annuals, Perennials, Vegetables, Trees and lots more.

4) Once inside the list of whatever category you choose, you'll see another filter. It's on the top, right and it says "Filter Plants by..." (followed by several icons).
