The Plant Bus as she looks today, 40 years since her heydey. She launched two successful and respected local nurseries, and sold many a plant before zoning laws changed and Venders licences became non existent. She was a natural food co op for a number of years and accomodated many an out of town visitor or friend temporarily in need of shelter.

A 1969 Ford 60 passenger school bus conversion that hasn't yet become a 'Rolling Home' or 'Tiny House'.

All seats gone and replaced with never to rot redwood shelves and all along the ceiling, eye hooks for hanging baskets. Never made it to be my cabin while I build my homestead up in coastal Maine ala the Nearings or to Craig Alaska where I was offered a teaching job and planned to secure her to a big log raft and let my home rise and fall with the tides.

Usually of late she is covered in virginia creeper vine and less noticable, but I hope to paint her soon. She has sheltered many a critter beneathe her being a fox den for several years and now that space is claimed by the feral cats. If you stand on her roof you can see the State House in Annapolis! She is a very peaceful bus and has been grandfathered in as a 'greenhouse' so she is legal. Though I think the engine would turn over and purr alas, she is no longer road worthy. On one of her shelves are all of the issues of the first ten years of Mother Earth News
