Meanwhile I'm in the usual dilemma: most of my annual MGs are big enough to go outside, but there's another 4 weeks with a slight chance of freezing. Still the days are warm enough that I'd expect them to do better outside with real light and out in the ground. So much to win, but so much to loose. As a climbers side note: looks like I got my cobaea scandens through winter alive and thriving - let's see if it's worth the effort. last year I was lucky that the seedlings started to bloom in July and then flowered in abundance till November. I had Cobaeas from seed before which had their first bloom in the second half of October. Let's see when a mature plant will start. The passiflora hybrid has broken dormancy as well, still waiting for the Passiflora incarnata to show any growth. Yes, I know they're supposed to be slow starters. |
