Beginner Gardening: Brown Spots & Losing leaves - Snake Plant, Dracaena & Croton, 1 by greenedthumbs

I have a snake plant, dracaena and croton all in a SW facing window that I provides ample indirect light throughout most of the day. The snake plant & dracaena have both developed brown spots & the croton shed over 1/2 its foliage (but now has 2 new leaves). Are these issues due to where they are placed, a bacteria of some kind, or something else I'm not considering? I am located in the NE for reference.
