I have just unwrapped my bougainvillea after this winter. Only once did temperatures drop down to 32F, however my bougainvillea looks completely dead. It has no signs of life whatsoever. I had wrapped it up and put christmas lights inside. It seems strange to me that it would die, as just next door i have a dipladenia, which I never protect in winter, and it looks absolutely fine... All branches on the bougainvillea look shrivelled up and all the buds dead... Do you think there might be a chance that it will come back?
