Not sure on what brushes / what painting skills everyone has so I'll try and improvise

photo 1: IF you have a liner brush paint light squiggly lines on side heals of the boot as well as the back
sole of the boot

with wood tip of the brush dip in beige paint and dab a circle of paint and pull out paint to create
edging on boot..you can then dip end of a toothpick into paint and make a few small dots

IF you don't have a liner then you can put a toothpick into beige paint and pull the sole lines
then look for something that has a small end on it i.e. pen, pencil and dip into paint then create
the circle as shown and pull out lines as done above with the liner

Photo 2: sand the boot to have a worn look..I personally like to see 'wood' at most of the edges
**I also sand the entire boot lightly as it softens the painting and smooths the surface

Photo 3: at this point you can glue the string bows to the book

or

make a bow with raffia..I did not use raffia because at the time of mailing I couldn't find any

Photo 4: what the boots look like with raffia

LEGS: (2) does not need painting as they won't be seen

SOCKS: As to have a nice finish of the sock push in the end about 1" on both ends

Questions on the Shoes????
