I did see a Wood ducks in the area lake a couple of days past. I was so tempted to get a Wood ducks nest box for them but, there are so many predators (Great Blue Herons, Raccoons, and or snakes), so I refrained myself from introducing the lovely nestlings to potential danger. So I decided against the nest box designed for them....

1. The WBNH caught a bug
2 & 3 A Mallards couple passing by our back yard.
4. The nest box with non viable eggs from the Carolina Chickadees last season, I did see the \'Dees back checking on the nest.
5. DH and I took these gourd houses down and cleaned them out with deluted chlorox and soapy water, the gourd houses were aiming to attract Martins, but Tree - Swallows took a liking for these gourds houses for the past few years. We\'ll know for sure Spring has arrived, when the Swallows return to the garden, in which I\'ve not seen them yet.
