CatMint20906 wrote: As winter hopefully winds to an end this month I'm taking stock of what did well and what didn't overwintering in my house, and the 'winners' ;-) are: (1) My kalanchoe (Kalanchoe blossfeldiana 'Calandiva Dark Pink'), which has sprouted blossom after blossom for me, doing almost better in the window sill than it did under my rose bush! (2) My asparagus fern (Asparagus densiflorus 'Sprengeri')--hard to get a good pic with the bright light coming through the window, but it grew amazingly tall (3) My amaryllis bulbs--'Flamenco Queen' was huge and put out blossom after blossom. 'Double Dream' took its time but is finally just about ready to pop its first blossom. I remember that someone in this forum advised that asparagus fern and kalanchoe should be my two choices to overwinter. I don't remember who that was anymore (Holly? Sally?), but boy you were right!! :-) Many thanks! I'll probably make these my regular 'overwintering' plants, and keep them in pots outside through the growing season to make it easier to bring them inside come winter.
