The Swedish Ivy is beautiful--I'm sure your coworker will think of you fondly for years to come every time he looks at it. :-) Sally--photos please!! :-) Speedie, I so love your humor and am really looking forward to meeting you soon. Your roses and anemones are beautiful--and congrats on that eye! I got some work done yesterday--a few plants that needed to be moved (including the Dazzleberry from the swap--it didn't seem to like the spot where I put it). Gita, the astilbe you gave me is doing great! I found a very shady, moist spot by the shed and it seems to be thriving there. Plus I finally got my new Fireball and Amsonia planted--a good thing I waited, as the Fireball was getting leaf scorch in the spot I originally chose for it. I think I need to do some cutting back today. That is good to know that the peony likes to be cut back--I didn't know that! 1) Joe Pye going to town 2) my volunteer celosia 3) I love the color my new 'Fireball' brings. Lantana and marigold still in full bloom, and my wisteria is beginning to creep along its trellis--the old clothesline!! 4)Phlox 'Nicky' still blooming for me, and I've loved the Melampodium 5) Gita's astilbe This message was edited Sep 29, 2013 8:18 AM |
