I have a number of cool hats: a couple of vintage summer Stensons from a thrift shop, a Honduran farmers hat, an Aussie for fishing, but my favorite for gardening is a wideeee brim straw hat available from Ace or Tractor Supply for about $8. complete with colored band and chin strap. They're usually good for about 1 season as the front often splits at the top front from pinching it on or off.
