Nanny, you did a great job with the photos. You have a good variety of birds. I tried the monopod which is nice and easy to move around, but I still shook too much. Now I'm using a cheap tripod and getting clearer pics. Next on my wish list is a sturdier tripod.

The buffleheads have arrived on our lake. I'm still trying to figure out how to get a decent photo of them in the sun.
Not sure, but I think this is a Ring-billed Gull.
A great blue heron just enjoying the sun.
And, a common merganser.
