It is not unusual to see the female cardinal feeding alongside the bluebirds. Tonight, just before dark I was surprised to see a fledgling cardinal as well. It has turned very Fall-like here and it seems very late in the season. All the other birds have finished nesting for the year, most of them finished more than a month ago.
