Sally--Not all CC's have a thick, succulent foliage.
The common fuchsia and white one is the worst looking of all.
The "leaves" are thin and limp--and they all hang down in an anemic looking plant.
It is just the way this one is. Is this the one you have?

I will be glad to share some others with you. Maybe one of my, now favorite, pink ones.
I have a couple in smaller pots. JB wants some sections of this one too. I owe her.
She says her pinks always sell out fast.

IF you have Easter cacti--they would not have spikes on their leaves.
The edges would be smooth--and very gently scalloped.

Just FYI--NONE of my many Easter cacti bloomed lat year.
Somehow--they got into a neglected dormancy during the winter, and then
never recover in time to bloom. I need to take better care of these!
The stems and "leaves" get pretty funky during the winter.
I think I forget to water and feed them--totally.

Year before last--the bigger one started blooming while still inside--
and then again when i took them outside. Not profusely--but it bloomed.

1--Here is my droopy CC--the big pot of the fuchsia and white.
2--Some other ones--with droopy foliage
3--Here is one of my bigger pots of Easter cactus. See the "leaves"??
4--A close-up for you of the Easter cactus leaves...smooth as a baby's bottom...
5--April, 2012--the one that started blooming while inside.
