heavenscape wrote: Good afternoon sistahs. This group here from the first day of Sweet Interruptions has always adhere to the simple credo that we're all sistahs. There were arguments, disagreements, believe me, I'm no angel, but at the end of the day, we return to being sistahs. There are some sistahs and nieces that have disappeared but the love will always be there. I've spelt "Sistahs" as I don't want to offend anyone since there's no blood ties. So, in light of the latest reaffirmation of what we are to each other.. I'll start calling each other "Sister". Sister Judy is one that would give me huge smiles when she'd call me "SisTERRRR" over the phone or when we had the chance to be together at a reunion. We ARE SisTERRRS!! Good day SISTERS!! I am no longer the only child in the USA! Those on the path of Karen (me included it seems) please take heed. Get your generators ready! Cody in Louisiana will not be affected. But, Sis Kathy... and you Marion? Let Charles do the heavy lifting please! Couldn't get up this morning as I caught the flu from Kel. That man now is exposed to all kinds of viral germs at the prison, and yes, he brings them home. If we didn't doctor ourselves up with extra vitamins, I'm sure his immune system will be worse. So, at least, it's just once this year. Our sister here won three categories in this DG Country fair!!! Congratulations Carole!!! She never told us of her entries! That's our Carole, so humble. Look at these beauties. 1. Quilt category. Her grandmother made this crazy quilt sampler! 2. Favorite Vegetable Garden: Her words; "Determined to have fresh organic produce, friends constructed this raised vegetable garden in the desert east of San Diego. It is watered by a drip system they also built. People said it would never work but it appears they have proven the nay-sayers wrong." This is ingenous!! When there's a will, there's a way. Love that drip system. 3. Backyard Garden: Beautiful, even in the rain! Congratulations Sister Carole!! |
