Beginner Gardening: Should I just cut my grape vines back to the trunk?, 3 by montanadolphin

Should I just cut the vines back to the trunk and try again with them next year? I would be better prepared by treating them with fungicide. Plus, if I cut them back now, I can burn every single branch or just take them to the dump. That way no mummies fall to the ground that I could miss when cleaning up underneath the grape vine canopy.
