DH was tired of being left for weeks at a time, so the garden is reaping the benefits of his feelings as well. I may still do a few shows here and there, but travel hhttp://pics.davesgarden.com/pics/2013/05/31/Debijaynes/2d23... gone to the head of the list, as has enjoying my garden. Have re-potted almost all of the cattleyas and dendrobiums and am having more orchid misters installed in the pool cage area. Finding the misters has been the hard part--as well as the plumbing company finding time to fit us in. Lots and lots of building and remodeling going on here in SW FL. Our house remodel is almost complete--just the pool bath door and the outdoor kitchen to complete. Here's what's blooming: Rangoon creeper--looks different each hour of the day Blue green jade vine was spectacular! Plumerias NIght blooming jasmine Gardenias and Tahitia gardenias Nong Nooch vine--does it love heat and LOTS of water--so much said for that plant label Dutchman's Pipe vine Hawaiian Sunset vine Double yellow Allemanda vine Lobster claw heleconias Fruit trees producing like mad-- did have to replace a tangerine--haven't yanked out the old one yet..... Planted masses of daylilies Confederate jasmine almost finished All broms attached to trees growing like crazy Moved some broms to salvaged coral stone boulders And loved every minute of the Redlands orchid festival! Also am loving all this wonderful rain--the pool not so much, but the plants are very happy! Debi The yellow hibiscus came from the Lowe's death rack--$1 The rangoon creeper --sorry don't know how to get upright from phone pic The next is of the new orchid--the growers version--thought it was too pretty not to send--by the way mine is growing will have plenty to share Last pic of the Blue Green Jade vine. Grows on a plumeria on the east side of the house |
