This has been in the "works" for a long time---just Paul trying to find a day he can come over
and get this done. I decided early this spring that I really do not need or want this Shrub any more.
Paul, on the other hand, jumped at the chance to have a full-grown, 18yr. old Wintersweet.
And so--yesterday was IT--beautiful day, sun shining, 60 degrees--what else can you wish for?

Well for one--I wished that Paul would bring a strong buddy to help--but he did not...
So--it was just the two of us.

Here is a picture of the Shrub--way earlier this year.
In anticipation of the DIG--I trimmed it up really nice--thinned out the stems, etc...
1--The base of the shrub-all junked up...
2--All nicely pruned and thinned...
3--The WS was already in full bloom--in january
