Something along the lines of light pinks, snapdragons. Could be something along the lines of a silver colored plant ie. Stachy's b. which has magenta colored flowers but they are thin spikes, just to keep the scene soft... There are also some wonderful soft pinks that are not in your face type colors... There are some wonderful pinks in the Dianthus x Loveliness series too. I would stay away from bright colors or white as they would stick out like a sore thumb.... Pix 1 Dianthus x Loveliness, the one on the right would be lovely, 18"x 12-18", all season Pix 2 Dictamnous purpureas I believe this one is albus purpurea, but does have dark pink veining, late spring or E. summer, 30" Pix 3 Penstemon mexicale Red Rocks, all summer at 15" Pix 4 Another variation in the D. x L. series Pix 5 on the right is perennial creeping Thyme serpyllum which also blooms all season |
