Good thing you sent me this little clerodendron 'Blue Butterfly' bush, KayJones. Here it is happily blooming despite the big bamboo clump dropping its boots all over! Still fairly warm here, although we are forecast to get down into the 50's later in the week.

I have spikes on my little "wild" orchids - the mottled leaves are Monk's orchid, a naturalized species. Flowers soon. Tiny leaves are a native species I got from Mj, the "Green fly orchid" because the flowers are only about 1/2in. across, but perfect tiny greenish white orchids.

Deb, our posts crossed. BoPs - I have talked myself to a standstill trying to convince people they are Really not something you want to try to grow in a pot up north, (unless you are Drew with a football team at your disposal to help you move huge plants) They are really HUGE plants that get well over 20ft tall in my garden with no help from me, before they start to bloom. Every year I cut out the tallest stems in the spring, and still by this time of year they are up there messing with the power lines. They love water and tropical sun, and weigh a ton. If Amanda has a forklift and a 3 story atrium with a glass roof, she might see a flower on it in her lifetime, but I'd doubt it.
