Rita, lol, you and I certainly are contemporaries. My dh and I celebrated 37 years of marriage yesterday. (well, we didn't actually 'celebrate' yet - he's out drilling holes in the bottom of the Indian Ocean, but he sent his love) He doesn't like gardening either, but will help me with a big project if I ask nicely.

Speaking of love, that variegated Abutilon is just gorgeous. Do the flowers open up wide like my little ones? (see below) I had no idea the plants would get that big! I started several colors from seed this spring, thinking maybe they'd be annuals . . . shows what I know!

My purple Achimenes are showing a new feature, stripes in the throat. Doesn't make up for the fact that they're supposed to be "light blue with a white eye" mind you!

I have a new stem of flowers starting on my Spathoglottis, funny little ground orchids.
