Gitagal wrote: TO RETURN TO SANITY AND EXPLAIN WHAT HAS HAPPENED...... I always doubted that the small Dr. S. i had could have provided all the cuttings that I rooted. Something just did not make sense. The SMALL Dr. S. was so frail and skinny--the one I said I could NOT cut anything off of. I had forgotten that I had TWO Dr. S.'s last year. The older one---and the smaller one. Today--as I was cutting up the "beast"--I just discovered that the big one---which I have been calling the NOID Pink Brug--was actually the older Dr. Seuss Brug. Saw a marking on its trunk--"DR" Whew!!!! What a relief! The Dr. LIVES!!!! Had to chop up his Stethoscope though! Teeeeeeeeeee....Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.... OK! Back to sanity! The old, dead looking Brug DID get chopped up. And--doled out accordingly. As all "Sagas"--this one too had a happy ending. Please read all the explanations on each photo posted.... 1--Holly--You and Ric are getting the old trunk one. It has itsy-bitsy new growths all up and down. I did root-prune it somewhat--and did put it in a anew pot (with a decadent soil mixture) with the holes cut out already so you can just sink it in a bigger patio pot--or in a bed for easy removal in the fall. If you need my Brug. care "Primer"I will be glad to send it to you. 2--Coleup---because of your selfless generosity to give up your Dr. S. Brug to Chantelle-- you will be getting the largest cutting off the top of the old Dr. S. plant. Chantelle will get the one I had tagged for you since last year. See picture-- |
